Does your child love art or have a creative flair?
If so, he/she probably would enjoy entering an art piece in this year’s Reflections program, a National PTA art program.
Students have the opportunity to use their creative talents and express themselves through their own original works. Have them focus their creativity on this year’s theme and please note the deadline.
The 2014-15 Reflections theme is: "The world would be a better place if..."
The Pine Lake MS entry deadline is: 2:30pm, Thursday, Nov. 6, 2014, in the school office
Students may enter up to three (3) pieces total in any combination of the six art areas, which include Literature, Music Composition, Photography, Visual Arts, Film/Video and Choreography/Dance. Only original student pieces, tailored to the theme "The world would be a better place if..." can be accepted.
Please refer to the specific rules and guideline links below as these must be followed. Full program details can be found on WA State PTA Reflections page. To submit an entry, just click below for a Student Entry Form or pick one up in the school office on the PTSA bulletin board. We will complete the PTSA portion of the entry form.

The world would be a better place if... is the theme for the 2014-2015 school year. This theme by Mercedes Messer of Puyallup, Washington was selected through the Reflections Theme Search Contest. When asked what inspired her theme, Mercedes said, “Our world, because I care about it and wanted to know other kids’ ideas on how we could make it a better place.” Join the search for a future theme by entering the annual Theme Search Contest
Theme Deadline 11/14/2014
Each fall, thousands of students submit ideas for a future Reflections theme to their State PTA organizations. Your State PTA will select five themes to submit to the National PTA for consideration in the 2015–16 National PTA Reflections theme contest.
If you are a student that would like to enter a Reflections theme for consideration, please use this form for submission:
