Hoe Down

The Hoe Down remains TBD for 2022.

$6 per person (ages 5 & up) add one to cart for EACH person attending; or
$6 to purchase in-person at lunch (3/3, 3/4, 3/5); or
$10 at the door
Includes dinner, music, entertainment, prizes and lots of fun.

Parents or chaperones are required to attend with and supervise their child(ren) for the entire evening. This is NOT a drop off event. Students arriving without a supervising adult will not be admitted. A parent/guardian will be called to pick up or join their student.

What is the Hoe Down all about?

The Hoe Down is a fun community event the PTSA sponsors for the whole family. This is NOT a fundraiser. Admission price pays for food and helps offset additional costs not in budget.

Each student requires a parent escort, siblings are encouraged to attend, we have activities for the youngsters. PLMS teachers bring their kids and family as well.

The Hoe Down is a "Western Themed Event" and dressing the part is encouraged. Most students wear jeans, western hats, and a bandana tied around their leg. Yes, their leg.

Dinner is a potato bar which includes a large baked potato with all the fixins, vegetarian chili, salad, cookie and a bottled water.

Dancing is part of the fun and everyone, including parents are welcome to show what they can do.

Door prizes are announced throughout the evening, and you must be present to win. There will be plenty of gift cards from Starbucks, Jamba Juice, Mod Pizza, Jimmy Johns, and other great surprises.

Bring extra bills for Raffle prizes and the Concession stand (hats, bandanna and sweets).

Most students have had at least one unit of line and square dancing, so they can really kick up their boots. The Hoe Down is where we get to find out who was paying the most attention in dance class.

The answer to a frequent student question - NO! DANCING is NOT REQUIRED by anyone! And no one needs a date or dance partner. Just a chaperone.

The Hoe Down takes place in the Commons and Gym, with dancing in the well-lit gym. Good times, lots of dancing, good food and visiting with other PLMS families. You don't want to miss the fun!

Pine Lake is the only MS that has this fun annual event and it's talked about for months!

1) Near top of left sidebar here (just below the home icon) you'll see a link for My Account.

2) Click the My Account link and sign in with the email and password you used to create your account.

3) You can now see what items you've Ordered/Paid for or any items you've Registered for. If you see that you have registered, but there are no orders or payment info showing, then you haven't yet purchased the item. You'll want to click on the item icon you want on the left sidebar here. It will take you to the proper page and as you are already signed in you'll follow the steps below to complete your order.

4) Select item and "Add one to my cart" for each person attending, select/enter the appropriate details requested, then click "Next" again,

5) It then takes you to the paypal payment page where you use your paypal or guest paypal to pay for this item.

6) Once paid, you will get a receipt you can print (if you choose) and a confirmation email of your payment will be sent to you.
