Ski Bus to Summit Central on Thursdays

Starting Thursday, January 11, 2024, the Pine Lake Snow Sports Program will run from the South Sammamish Park & Ride (228th Ave SE and SE 30th St across from the school) to Summit Central Ski Area for 6 weeks, ending Thursday February 15, 2024.

The bus will load at 3pm and returns approximately at 9:30pm. To be safe, we strongly recommend to drop your child off at the Park & Ride making sure they don't have to cross 228th by foot.

This is a transportation only program. There will be no lessons. Adult chaperones will be on the bus, and members of the Snow Sports Program will patrol the slopes with distinctive bibs.

Students are expected to have a minimum of one season of experience and should be comfortable using their gear independently. Participants will be responsible for their own ski passes.

Registration is limited to 46 students and can be done here. Enrollment is secured on a first come, first serve basis and must be accompanied with payment to secure your space.

Volunteer chaperones are much appreciated - we are looking between 4 and 6 chaperones per event.

23-24 Award Nominations

Know an amazing teacher or volunteer? The Pine Lake PTSA wants to recognize our fantastic volunteers and educators and has four award categories available this year: Golden Acorn, Outstanding Educator, Outstanding Advocate and Outstanding Student Advocate.

There is no better compliment than getting recognized by your peers, students, and parents. Why wait? If someone has helped to get the school year off to a great start, it takes just a moment to recognize them!

Nominations can be submitted up to March 1, 2024. To nominate someone, complete this VERY short survey and the PLMS Selection Committee will select the recipients.

If you'd like to volunteer, we'd love to have you. Questions? Contact Andrea or Kim, Selection Committee
